Project Story

A new modern build near the Venice Boardwalk sought warmth and sustainability through reclaimed wood accents.

We supplied tight-grain Douglas fir for ceiling cladding and an open-tread staircase, prefinished in a waterborne matte poly.

Black walnut was crafted into kitchen cabinetry fronts and a waterfall island top finished with hardwax oil.

Exterior soffits repeat the Douglas fir cladding, visually extending interior warmth outdoors.

The result balances crisp modern lines with tactile reclaimed wood, tying the home to its coastal context.

Before & After

BBefore

The project was a new shell with drywall and concrete floors; design called for sustainable wood to soften the minimalist aesthetic.

AAfter

Installed reclaimed fir ceilings and stairs plus walnut casework created a warm, refined interior that remains beach-friendly and durable.
